Sebrick Studios is a visual image production company specializing in high fashion and high concept photography, we are creating images for fashion clients and business alike. Dublin based photographer Rick Taylor has landed the job of Official photographer and sponsor for the Elite model Look Ireland 2010. Rick originally from Scarborough, North Yorkshire but living in Dublin for the last 10 years is part of the Elite Model Look Ireland team searching the country for the next supermodel.

“I feel very honoured and privileged to be a part of the Elite team, It is a job that many other photographers have been clambering over themselves to get! , In the same way that Elite Is looking for new, fresh raw talent they also wanted a photographer that has a fresh approach to shooting fashion portfolios, I am traditionally trained with a visual art background and a degree in photographic Design I have been working freelance here in Dublin for the past 10 years shooting all kinds of different things from music events to actors portfolios, portraits and commercial assignments and this is my first venture into high fashion !. My photographic style is very conceptual and artistically creative, my influences would be in fashion and film from Nick Knight, Steven Klein and David La Chapelle to Stanley Kubrick and Alfred Hitchcock. An Elite model should be a blank canvas on which to project ideas and be able to portray a vast variety of different looks and styles. An Elite girl also needs to be very versatile and quick to evolve around different concepts and environments. There are many great potential models here in Ireland which makes the search even more exciting”

I shot Hannah Smyth and Grace Connell for the Elite campaign and both girls were just superb, elegant, graceful and so powerful in front of the camera, the shots were just stunning! I will be working with all the Elite girls to create really strong portfolios for them in the next few months.

I will be working with our team of stylists, make-up artists and Irish fashion designer Sinead Doyle to create the portfolios for the final contestants and with the agency opening at the end of the year it will be very exciting to see who will be coming through the doors!

The Elite brand is world class and their association with excellence in high fashion is second to none, this is a first for Ireland and there is certainly enough room in the market for us and all the other Dublin agencies, our styles are quite different so we should not be seen as a threat. There are many great fashion photographers working in Ireland at present and I look forward to establishing myself as one of them.
